Why Chimney Filters Require Periodic Chemical Cleaning
In Indian kitchens, cooking with ghee, butter, and mustard oil produces heavy aerosols that settle directly on your chimney filter surfaces. While regular hot water washing at home removes superficial surface oil, it fails to dissolve the thick baked-on carbon trapped inside the curved blades of stainless steel baffle filters.
When filters clog, airflow is restricted, forcing oil vapors to escape across your kitchen walls and cabinetry. At Chimney Care India, we use specialized heated degreasing tanks and bio-degradable solvents to break down 100% of accumulated grease without scratching or warping delicate filter steel.
Chimney Filter Types We Clean & Restore
How often should you clean your chimney filter?
For North Indian home cooking (daily tadkas and frying), chimney filters must be chemically descaled every 25 to 30 days. Neglecting filter cleaning causes:
- Up to 60-70% drop in kitchen suction within 6 weeks
- Motor overheating from excessive air resistance
- Unpleasant rancid oil odors settling throughout the home
